Over the Transom

NFRC Hits the Press

NFRC continues to maintain a strong presence in the media. Though placed articles and general outreach, the Council has recently been featured in such publications as Home Magazine, Country Living, Window & Door, Glass Magazine, Qualified Remodeler and over 40 local newspapers.

Discuss Amongst Yourselves

Did you know that NFRC has created online discussion boards for each task group? This online tool provides a great place to post questions, documents for comment, and allows participants to easily communicate with their fellow task group members or make a comment to another group. NFRC encourages task group leaders and participants (or any member with a burning comment or question) to take advantage of this easy-to-use online resource. All you need is your member log-in information. Visit www.nfrc.org/boards/default.aspx to get started.

NFRC's Online Product Directory Pulls 'Em In

Potential buyers of fenestration products from every state in the country (except Hawaii) are visiting the NFRC Web. Each month thousands of people register to search the database and compare products, including at least 3,000 in April. Many found their way to the site after reading NFRC's educational fact sheet, placed at many Home Depot home repair stores through the help of SilverLine Windows and its distributor. The fact sheet explains the label in easy to understand language and what to look for when purchasing windows. It then points the person to NFRC's online product directory.

Help us expand this successful program. If you have the ability to place written materials in the windows area of a home improvement store, please contact Jessica Ferris at jferris@nfrc.org.
