NFRC was mentioned in the October 12, 2006 issue of The Washington Post.  The article, “Buying Energy-Efficient Windows Isn’t an Open-and-Shut Case,” equipped readers with the information they need to find the right window to fit their needs.  In addition to doing their research, the author instructs readers to “always look for the [NFRC] label indicating how the windows performed on standard industry tests.”   The article also points to the consumer-friendly Web site, www.efficientwindows.org, which offers consumers tailored advice for new windows based on the city and climate they reside.
