		Update Signs Off Until 2007 Another year has gone by, and the last few months have been action-packed for NFRC! Check out the recap of the fall membership meeting in Arlington, Va., find out who’s joining the NFRC Board of Directors, and read about the first-ever NFRC Annual Report released this fall. 		Chair's Message Message of Thanks The holiday season is upon us, and naturally my thoughts turn to the blessings in my life: my family, my friends, my colleagues. In some cases, they’re one and the same. More NFRC Members Meet in Arlington National Fenestration Rating Council members gathered at the Fall Membership Meeting just outside of our nation’s Capitol in Arlington, Va. last month, where they made considerable progress on many important issues, including the Component Modeling Approach (CMA) for nonresidential fenestration products. More Interview with Brian Crooks Brian Crooks is a Design Engineer for Cardinal Glass Industries, specializing in energy and technical services engineering for window customers. He’s been with Cardinal for the past 13 years, and has been an active participant in NFRC for nearly as long. He is a former Chair of the Annual Energy Performance Subcommittee, where he served for many years. More NFRC Elects New Board of Directors NFRC announced the results of the elections for the Board of Directors at the Fall Membership Meeting held in Arlington, Va. last month. According to Survey Ballot & Systems, Inc., the independent firm that manages NFRC’s voting process, 54% of NFRC members eligible to vote participated in this year’s election. More DOE Unveils Zero Energy Window NFRC members got a glimpse of the future of fenestration recently when the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) unveiled its Zero Energy Window prototype at the Fall Membership Meeting in Arlington, Va. The prototype is a three-layer window with commercially available low-emissivity (low-e) technology and a Krypton gas fill.
