NFRC Releases First-Ever Annual Report

Reports on the “Dynamic” Year of 2005

Demonstrating its ongoing commitment to improve openness and transparency, NFRC released its first-ever Annual Report this fall entitled Dynamic Changes.  The report details the state of NFRC in the year 2005.  In addition to financials, the report sums up all of the activities and achievements throughout the year.

 “NFRC experienced a truly dynamic year in 2005. By releasing this annual report we are showing our membership the accomplishments and activities conducted throughout the year – from internal improvements to creating new programs – and also laying down a strategic agenda to guide us in the years to come,” explains Jim Benney, NFRC’s executive director.

An important initiative NFRC sought in 2005 was to revive the organization’s mission, vision and goals.  This commenced with an intense strategic planning process resulting in, “Leading the Way,” a living document set to guide NFRC for years to come.  One important goal realized in this process was that of simplification.  In an effort to simplify and streamline the organization’s internal operations, NFRC moved much of their business as possible onto the Web.  Members now have more options on-line – from registering for meetings, editing and discussing documents, and voting in Board elections. 

Dynamic Changes also highlights a few of the new programs and services offered by NFRC in 2005.  Creating a procedure for rating window films and developing two new labels for glazing products were two program achievements for the year. Both the dynamic glazing and window film labels are now available for use.
