NFRC Announces Board Election Results
NFRC Membership
Elects Five Members to the Board

Spring, Md. – Nov. 7, 2006 – The National Fenestration Rating
Council (NFRC) has elected five members to serve on the organization's
Board of Directors. According to Survey Ballot & Systems,
Inc., the independent firm that manages NFRC's voting process,
54% of NFRC members eligible to vote participated in this year's
election.
“We
are very pleased with the member participation in our Board election
this year,” said Jim Benney, NFRC's executive director. “Each
year, our membership demonstrates their commitment to furthering
the success of our organization and advancing NFRC's mission.”
Beginning
in December, the following members will assume or continue their
position on the NFRC Board of Directors:
- Kerry Haglund, Center for Sustainable
Building Research, University of Minnesota – General Interest
Category
- Jeffrey Harris, Alliance to
Save Energy – General Interest Category
- Joseph A. Hayden, Pella Corporation
– Fenestration Industry
- Mike Manteghi, TRACO – Fenestration
Industry – Commercial
- Michael J. Thoman, Architectural
Testing, Inc. – Laboratory Category
These
members will join Marcia Falke, Chair; Alecia Ward, Vice-Chair;
Gary Curtis, Secretary; Chuck Anderson; Elaine Hebert; James Larsen;
and Steve Selkowitz on the Board of Directors. NFRC's Board is
charged with assuring all programs and policies are in place and
consistent with NFRC's goal of providing fair and accurate energy
performance ratings for fenestration products.

of windows, doors, curtain walls, skylights and other fenestration
products. Its members include manufacturers, suppliers, utilities,
