Member of the Year to Be Revealed

NFRC will announce the recipient of the first-ever Member of the Year Award at the Opening Session of the Fall Membership Meeting in Jacksonville, Fla.

Earlier this year, NFRC formalized its appreciation for its dedicated membership by offering an award to honor one special member each year. The NFRC Member of the Year award will recognize the recipient’s talent, achievements, and notable contributions to the fenestration industry that support the NFRC mission.

The recipient will:

  • Be a positive advocate for NFRC when addressing code officials, utility companies, governmental agencies, the media, etc.
  • Regularly attend NFRC membership meetings and actively engage in critical discussions and decisions.
  • Exhibit respect for all members, genuinely embracing the philosophy of a consensus process.

“Our membership has shown us that they are deeply committed to the NFRC mission, so acknowledging just one person is a challenge,” said Executive Director Jim Benney. “But we’re honored to have this person as a part of our organization, and we look forward to making the announcement.”

The recipient will receive the NFRC Crystal Star and a free NFRC meeting registration to be used in the 2009 calendar year, including reimbursement of meeting expenses.

Also, be on the lookout for next year’s nomination forms, which will be available in July 2009. NFRC hopes that many of our members participate in the nomination process for future recognition of NFRC Member of the year. With so many committed volunteers, there will never be a shortage of recipients.
