SCOPE
The
NFRC Accreditation Policy Committee oversees NFRC's Laboratory
Accreditation Program (LAP) and the Calculation Entity Approval
Program (CEAP), including:

Issuing policy interpretations related to laboratory
accreditation and CEAP:

Ruling on appeals properly brought pursuant to the
LAP and CEAP:
-
Recommending modifications to the NFRC LAP and CEAP;
and
-
Grants final approval of accreditation of testing
and simulation laboratories.

Grants final approval to Approved Calculation Entities
(ACE)

This
committee is responsible for providing oversight to the implementation
of the Laboratory Accreditation Program.
DETAILS:
The APC involves overseeing the NFRC's laboratory accreditation program, which includes issuing policy interpretations relating to laboratory accreditation; ruling on appeals properly brought pursuant to procedures established by the Corporation's Board of Directors or set forth in program documents; recommending modifications to the Corporation's laboratory accreditation program; and granting the approval of accrediting testing and simulation laboratories. The APC meets on a monthly basis via conference call and reports to the membership at the NFRC's membership meetings throughout the year.
