Meeting Notes
Posted: 09 Dec 2005 06:06 PM
During the November 29, 2005, Non-Residential Products Task Group (Ratings) meeting in Santa Fe, New Mexico questions were raised regarding the meeting notes published following the October 5, 2005 task group meeting in Atlanta. Per our discussion in the Santa Fe meeting, task group members were encouraged to forward their concerns for the notes in writing so that they could be shared with others on the NFRC website.

The following is an e-mail from Tony Kamber with Arch Aluminum & Glass regarding this subject:

Greg,

Per your request @ the November NFRC meeting in Santa Fe, NM I am forwarding the following concerns regarding the notes from the October Task Group meeting in Atlanta, GA. The main issue is if the notes are posted on the NFRC website as they are now they in effect become a record of what transpired. As a result, the accuracy of the notes content is critical. I will cite the following examples and can provide others if you wish.

1) There was never agreement on the substitution of the term specifying authority in lieu of responsible party.

2) The version of the notes posted on the NFRC website attributes numerous references to certain individuals comments while virtually ignoring some others who equally participated with commentary.

The issue is the accuracy of the notes and my suggestion to insure this accuracy is to audio or even video tape the meetings.
