NFRC - WHAT'S NEW!!

The NFRC staff will continue to update this WHAT'S NEW page - at the least monthly.  Please take a moment to review the several important updates to the NFRC web site:  

• NFRC Spring Membership Meeting Archive :
• All information for the recent meeting in Nashville, Tennessee have been posted to the NFRC's meeting archive site .   Log on to catch up/review.

• Spectral Weighting Function Research Project-Report and Instructions Now Available:
  • The final report and accompanying spreadsheets for this complete research project are located on the task group web page.   
    • If the membership considers this report's recommendations (page 28), the modifications to NFRC 200 and NFRC 300 will generate SHGC and Visible Transmittance values that may differ from existing ratings.  To understand better the proposal's ramifications, instructions have been developed to guide members on how to use WINDOW 5.2 to generate new SHGC and Visible Transmittance values based on this research project's recommendations.  Please note, membership has not voted to include this research in any NFRC documents as of yet.  This research has been forwarded to the Technical Committee for consideration in the pending 2009 document cycle.

• New Chair for the NFRC's CPC:
  • The NFRC Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Roland Temple with AZS Consulting has been appointed chairperson of the Certification Policy Committee.  Roland replaces John Hogan, who stepped down this past February after years of appreciated service.  Roland is extremely familiar with the NFRC programs having previously held leadership positions in the past including Ratings Committee Chair.

• NFRC 600-Glossary and Terminology Updated:
  • This document has been modified per the Nashville meeting ballots.  The revised document can be reviewed on the NFRC's Technical documents page at http://www.nfrc.org/technicaldocs.aspx

• Mark your Calendar - NFRC's Summer Membership Meeting:
• The NFRC's Summer Membership Meeting is scheduled for July 28-31, 2008 in Chicago, Illinois.
• Links to an off-line registration form as well as hotel information are currently available on the NFRC's upcoming meeting page .
