NFRC Meetings
The NFRC holds two meetings per year: a Spring Committee Week and a Fall Membership Meeting.

NFRC ANS Standards
NFRC is an American National Standard Institute (ANSI) Accredited Standards Developer (ASD) and develops and administers
comparative energy and related rating programs for fenestration products.

Why is it Important to Vote?
- As a member of the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC), your vote is your voice. In fact, it’s the one benefit that’s available only to members.
- Voting is your opportunity to be heard, to implement your ideas on important issues that affect your business. When it comes to developing NFRC’s ratings programs, every vote carries equal weight, and every vote matters.
- A vote cast by a small business owner is just as important as a vote from the largest, most profitable manufacturer. When you vote, you are determining the standards the entire industry will use to rate the energy performance of fenestration products. Voting doesn’t guarantee your preferences will prevail, but choosing not to vote leaves the future of your business in the hands of your competitors.

Get your product certified!
NFRC has developed and operates a uniform national rating system for the energy performance of fenestration products, including windows, doors, skylights, and similar products.
The linchpin of the Rating System is a procedure for determining the thermal transmittance ("U-factor") of a product. The U-factor rating procedure is supplemented by procedures for rating products for solar heat gain coefficient ("solar heat gain" or "SHGC"), visible transmittance ("VT"), air leakage ("AL"), and condensation resistance ("CR"). Together, these rating procedures, as set forth in documents published by NFRC, are known as the NFRC Rating System.

NFRC's Component Modeling Approach
The Component Modeling Approach (CMA) Product Certification Program enables whole product energy performance ratings for commercial (non-residential) projects.
The concept behind component modeling is performance data from the three primary components that make up a fenestration product are used for obtaining an overall product performance rating.
